How are you involved in education?
I am an education resources specialist for the Library of Congress and I like to think I have the best job ever. Our team works with PreK-12 educators on using the free digitzed resources from the Library’s collections in their instruction. We accomplish this through developing classroom materials, publications and professional development programs so that educators get access to the tools for using primary sources to engage students, foster critical thinking skills while building new knowledge. Our work with teachers spans all grade levels and content areas.
Have you ever attended an edcamp or unconference before?
What do you hope to get out of edcamp MetroDC?
I want to hear what educators are interested in learning from each other and to get a better feel for the unconference format of the day.
If you led a session at edcamp MetroDC, what would you present?
