What are you doing two months from now?
We hope the answer is edcamp MetroDC! In exactly two months today, teachers from across the DMV will be gathering at Stone Ridge School in Bethesda, MD to take part in meaningful, self directed learning.
edcamp MetroDC is a free unconference, part of a larger educational movement to reclaim professional development! At edcamps across the country, educators are sharing their passions with like-minded teachers. edcamps are participant-driven; agendas are created on the day and focus more on discussions than traditional conference presentations. In fact, edcamps rely on the “law of two feet.” If a particular discussion or presentation isn’t furthering your learning, participants are encouraged to find a session that meets your learning needs. No judgement; this is about your needs!
While edcamps do focus a great deal on educational technology, edcamps are for all educators interested in discussing their profession. If you have a particular interest, bring it to the board! Sessions are scheduled in the morning of the event, decided upon by participants.
In addition, thanks to our generous sponsors, we will have door-prizes, and give-aways, including a Chromebook donated by Alchemy Learning. Register to attend today!
