How are you involved in education?
I work for BUILD, a nonprofit using the power of experiential learning to ignite our students’ passions towards college and career success. We help high school students start their own businesses, connecting them with peers and mentors to support their learning through doing. The business start-up process is filled with great opportunities for life-long skill building. We create a culture of innovation, collaboration, grit, and self-management to develop successful students and young people.
Have you ever attended an edcamp or unconference before?
What do you hope to get out of edcamp MetroDC?
I am excited to meet outgoing education professionals looking to bounce risky ideas around. I want to hear passion, idealized dreaming, and logistics.
