How are you involved in education?

Middle School Technology Integrator and Seventh Grade Chair at the Bryn Mawr School in Washington, DC

Have you ever attended an edcamp or unconference before?

Yes! I love attending and organizing edcamps, including Edcamp Baltimore and Edcamp Independent Schools. They were even nice enough to let me talk about unconferences as professional development at the National Association of Independent Schools conference this year!

What do you hope to get out of edcamp MetroDC?

I love meeting new people at edcamps and discussing whatever happens to be on my mind that day. Plus, it’s always nice to be back to my old school home, Bullis!

If you led a session at edcamp MetroDC, what would you present?

I’m happy to do a Twitter 101 session. I also have spent a lot of time thinking about Design Thinking in Schools. Definitely not the expert in the room, but I’d love to start a discussion!

How are you involved in education?

My job title is K-6 computer teacher, but the reality is more like jack of all trades! I teach the kids, I do tech support, I provide staff training, I run an iPad pilot, and I also run two after school clubs – programming and iPad video. In addition, I am also an edtech presenter and webinar provider.

Probably something on iPads, since I’m doing a pilot this year.
